John 10:10 Jesus modeled “it’s all about giving: John 3:16 Satan modeled “it’s all about taking.” Isa 14:12-14 The opposite of love is not hate, it is fear! 2 Tim 1:7, The way to get rid of fear is with love 1 John 4:18 If you make the action about right and wrong your own healing question “why” goes unanswered. Matthew 7:3

Gods Truth

Results of Believing God's Truth

I am who I am based on my
PERFORMANCE

Fear of failure: perfectionism: intensity about my own success: withdrawal from risks: manipulate others to help me succeed. If it looks like I am going to fail or look silly at something, I won't even attempt to do it.

When the thief on the cross asked
Jesus to remember him, Jesus said "today you shall be with me in Paradise." Human value is not based on performance. Gen 1:26 I am made in God’s image. I don't have to fear failure.

My self worth and others worth is not based on performance. I understand
that I am valuable to God. I can recognize my mistakes and profit from them. That frees me to truly love as Jesus commanded. John 13:34 & 35

I am who I am based on what certain other PEOPLE think of me.

Fear of rejection; please people at any cost; sensitive to criticism, withdrawal to avoid risk. I need constant affirmation from people. It crushes me when people disagree with me or are unhappy with me.

Mark 15:13 "Crucify Him." Jesus never sinned, yet the religious authorities of His day found fault with Him. I can't satisfy anyone all of the time! I am an heir and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. I don't need to fear rejection. Gal 4:6 & 7 & 35

Once I realize that I am completely accepted by God, I have freedom from the fear of rejection: willingness to be open and vulnerable; able to relax around others; willingness to take criticism; desire to please God no matter what others think. 2 Cor 6:18

Those who fail are unworthy
of love and deserve to be
PUNISHED.

I always want to know who is right.
I am afraid to be wrong because
I realize that people won't like me. When others fail I can't just let it go. I don't hear from or feel close to God.

1 John 2:2 And He is the propitiation (the payment in full) for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. I don't have to be afraid
of our Heavenly Father when I fail.

I can walk free from the fear of
punishment and maybe just as
important I don't have to punish others. I am quick to forgive, gentle with others. I have a deeper love for Christ as I
understand He paid for us all. Jer 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

I am who I am, I cannot change;
  I am hopeless. God didn't
create me as good as other people.
Life is POINTLESS

I don't feel like I fit in.
I eat too much, drink too much
or work too much. I am easily
and often discouraged or angry.
Thoughts of suicide.

The Holy Spirit is at work in my life
conforming me to the image of Jesus Christ. Rom 8:29 I don't have to fear being insignificant.

Freedom from the fear that you don't measure up. Real peace in all circumstances. True gratitude for Jesus,
and a desire to know Him.
